2022 goals

With the new year around the corner, many of us want to start a list of crazy goals 98% of us won’t accomplish. But what about the 2%? How are they able to go through with their goals? Simple, they follow a 5 step plan.

a brief example of some people’s goals

1. Pick a Theme for 2022. this theme will help guide you through the year and remind you of how you should be navigating through your choices.

2. Ask yourself how you want to grow in 2022. What are some things you didn’t do in 2021 that you feel need to be implemented in your year 2022? List them, and from there, start thinking of ways to really accomplish them.

3. Ask yourself another question of what you want release in 2022. While setting goals is important, releasing negative mindsets and habits is equally important. Although you might not really it, you are your worst enemy, and self-sabotaging negative things you do daily really threaten the likelihood of you accomplishing anything

4. Set goals, no matter how “crazy” you think they might be, set goals. Some could fit under the categories of: Health-Relationship- Career/School- Personal-Money-Home-Creative-Spiritual. Goals are, in a way, the backbone of the decision making part of your brain that help guide you.

5. Make sure you know that you are worthy, capable, and very much accountable for everything you do. You can make a very beautiful life for yourself because you deserve it. And a quick reminder: You’ve got this! i know it might seem like you don’t right now, but you do. You’ve survived 100% of your bad days, that’s pretty damn good!

you are enough.

Foods you need to eat to lose weight

If you’re trying to lose weight and don’t know where to start, you’ve come to the right place. While losing weight, you need to remember these three things. First, eating healthy is the most important part of any journey. Second, drinking water is the second most necessary thing to do. And lastly, you need to get your body moving.

Let’s talk about food first. Junk food, chocolate bars, and unnecessary fatty foods is all fun and games until you finish that bowl of ice cream feeling like crap. How can we stop ourselves from eating all that stuff you might be asking? Well, what you first need to do is acknowledge what’s happening. Once you realize that you’re about to binge eat the entire fridge, you’re less likely to do it. Then, drink 0.5L of water and try distracting yourself from eating, if you’re still hungry after 15 minutes then go ahead and eat something healthy, if not, then now you know that your body was just thirsty. (Most of the time we’re just thirsty and not hungry)

Now let’s talk about the things you should eat. Fruits and vegetables are a must! Try including them in every meal you have.

One of my favorite breakfasts is a bowl of Greek yogurt with some sort of fruit and a few almonds

Protein is another source of food you should definitely start eating more since it helps supply amino acids for the growth and repair of cells. Protein foods include beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, milk, yogurt(especially Greek yogurt) and cheese(especially cottage cheese)

Now as much as eating healthy is important make sure you’re eating in reasonable portions, so don’t over eat yet don’t under eat. Skipping meals will not help you in the long run whatsoever, it will lower your metabolism and cause you to gain wait whenever you’ll eat any usual amount of food. So please, pay your body some respect by treating it with love and always taking care of it.

The tips you need to lose weight

Many people think that to lose weight you need to stop eating all of the foods you enjoy. That’s very far from the truth, to lose weight you simply must eat clean, get your body moving, and have a positive mindset. For me, not only did I want to lose weight and look the part, I also wanted to feel healthy and great. I did that by creating a morning routine that I actually enjoyed, (There is a video by Rebecca Jay on YouTube titled “How to create a morning routine you’ll *actually* stick to” that I recommend watching) walked 10,000 steps every day and ate clean. What I mean by eating clean is that I cut out all types of sugar from my diet and made alternative foods for my cravings. For example, if I ever felt like I wanted some ice cream, I simply made a smoothie and froze it. Or if I ever wanted some chocolate I would buy sugar free chocolate bars, remember “When there’s a will there’s a way”. Also try your best to love the body you have right now, it might not look the part but it sure is helping you do everything you want. At the end of the day, every body is beautiful and deserving of love, however being healthy is the best way to ever thank your body for all it’s done for you.
